TLA Leader Training is a one-day course which enables participants to gain a profound understanding of the principles and processes of the Teacher Learning Academy. Delegates will be required to carry out pre-course preparation with senior leadership members at their schools.

The pre-course work will be used during the training to help delegates explore how engaging in the TLA process can benefit the school. They will experience how the action planning for their activities as a TLA Leader will support high quality CPD activities for teachers.

The course will explore the history of the TLA and offer an opportunity to reflect on the research evidence and methodologies which ensure effective professional development in schools. Delegates will develop crucial skills as they deepen their understanding of the central role of the TLA Leader in effecting change which has real impact on the professional development of teachers and on the quality of teaching and learning in school.

TLA Leaders will complete their training by submitting a presentation which utilises their skills and expertise and which focuses on an area of individual specific interest and need.
